How do you drink sake? Cold or hot?

  • You can drink Sake either cold or hot. It is also fine to drink it at room temperature.

  • Sake changes its taste and flavor, depending on its temperature.

    You can choose the temperature of Sake in accordance with season and the type of food you eat.

  • The drinking temperature of sake is wider than that of beer and Wine, approximately from 5 to 55 degrees C. (41- 131 degrees F.) lt should not exceed 60degrees C. (140 degrees F.), even you would like to drink hot sake.

    It is definitely not advisable to boil it.

  • The ideal level of temperature of sake also varies depending on its type. For instance, the "flavorful type" and "light and smooth type" taste better if served cold.
